Flying Future is an experimental lighting object that Ingo Maurer created in 2006 with OLED modules by Merck. At the same time, he designed a coffee table with yellow, square OLEDs (also by Merck). In 2008 and 2010, further versions of Flying Future were designed, equipped with modules by Osram Opto Semiconductors (2008) and Novaled (2010). The Novaled modules are transparent when turned off.
