Oh Mei Ma Kabir Weiss

Oh Mei Ma Kabir Weiss
Ingo Maurer & Team 2007
Kabir is the Arabic word for ‘big’. In addition to its size, Oh Mei Ma Kabir White differs from its little sister Oh Mei Ma White in that it has an additional downlight at the lower end. The light from the upper luminaire element shines downwards onto a reflector plate and is projected back onto the six matt white aluminium sails. The illuminated white surfaces distribute it glare-free and evenly throughout the room. To emphasise the effect of the white reflective surfaces, an additional small LED uplight colours the ceiling a soft blue. Oh Mei Ma Kabir has a length of up to 350 cm (special length 700 cm on request). The distance of 130 cm between the two lighting elements cannot be shortened. The sails are tensioned to the canopy with ropes, so the minimum length should not be less than 170 cm. The prerequisite for this is a room height of more than 350 cm.
