Light installation for Issey Miyake Showroom in London

Issey Miyake Showroom
London, 1999
Ingo Maurer and his team of lighting designers created a lighting and design concept for the fashion shop with showroom of Issey Miyake in London. The lighting installation with gold-coloured fans keeps the hand-silver-plated leaves permanently in motion. The leaves of the lighting object differ in shape and colour.
The Issey Miyake showroom will no longer be located in Conduit Street, London from June 2014. Fashion designer Issey Miyake therefore continued to donate the lighting installation: the light object by Ingo Maurer and team from the London fashion showroom can now be seen in the Design Museum London, in the museum shop.
