Ingo Maurer goes 3daysofdesign 2026
10.06.2026 |
Copenhagen, Alice Folker Gallery, 10–12 June 2026
Three days full of design, with an iconic lighting system at the center of it all: YaYaHo. Together with its new elements, it was presented in the light-filled spaces of the Alice Folker Gallery. The Japanese paper of the further-developed luminaire was additionally highlighted and brought to life by two large display windows and an ultramarine-blue wall specially painted for the exhibition. Alongside this classic system, visitors could also discover new products such as NALUM and Strange Little Thing, as well as timeless lighting classics that blended harmoniously into the paper-themed presentation. In addition, our brilliant Head of Product and Project Design, Axel Schmid, joined the fantastic journalist Marlene Toldbod Jakobsen from Copenhagen for a conversation on “Mishmash in Design”: why a deliberate mix of design styles can be a legitimate alternative to clearly defined combinations. The talks took place on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning in the showroom and attracted great interest. Numerous visitors joined the discussion on the creative power of contrasts, unexpected pairings, and the beauty of unconventional design approaches.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make these days an inspiring space for exchange, dialogue, and connection!
Milan Design Week 2026 – HERE WE YAYAHO AGAIN
28.04.2026 |
Milan, Via Varese 13, 19–26 April 2026
During this year’s Milan Design Week, Ingo Maurer unveiled new elements for the classic YaYaHo luminaire. With geometric shapes, familiar materials such as Japanese paper and technical updates, the Ingo Maurer team has now given the 1984 low-voltage system a modern makeover. The showroom was also an Ingo Maurer first: for the first time, we have set up shop at Via Varese 13 and brought the space to life with light. The space was used to showcase the versatility of the YaYaHo system: whether stretched from wall to wall, mounted at right angles or diagonally, used as a room divider or arranged as a sculptural composition – YaYaHo offers plenty of scope for creativity, true to Ingo Maurer’s motto: ‘This lamp needs a co-designer.’ As is traditional, Ingo Maurer hosted the official opening ceremony on Tuesday evening, which formed part of the Via Varese Opening.
We would like to extend our warmest thanks to everyone who came along and celebrated the opening of Milan Design Week 2026 with us! If you would like more information about our latest developments in Milan, please feel free to contact us via the contact form or send us an email.
